Friends of Wood RecyclAbility SCIO Launched
We are delighted to announce the launch of Friends of Wood RecyclAbility, FoWR for short, a SCIO registered by the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).
Local Social Enterprise, Wood RecyclAbility provide a diverse range of tailored training opportunities for adults with additional support needs, working with the Circular Economy primarily processing waste wood and plastics.
Overseen by a board of four trustees: Gill Reavley, Lewis Sim, Sarah Whitman and Fiona Smith, its purpose is to actively fundraise in support of Wood RecyclAbility’s future growth plans. By being a charity, more avenues for funding are open to FoWR than for social enterprises.
In the recent challenging climate, Wood RecyclAbility has worked hard to survive and with ambitious diversification and growth plans, the SCIO has been created to raise funds for specific projects and very importantly, expanding training opportunities.
Now there is a team solely focused on fundraising and we look forward to pressing ahead with our plans!
