Work on new one-way system at Wood RecyclAbility Starts

Thanks to the recent UK National Lottery award of £10,000, we have been able to push ahead and start the groundworks at our Pitmedden site. This will establish a clearly marked one way system around the site improving safety for our trainees, staff and visitors.

This is all part of our bigger plans and we'll keep everyone updated on progress!

We Recycle Hard Plastics Too!

We Recycle Hard Plastics Too!

WoodRecyclAbility doesn't JUST recycle waste wood - despite our name!
Since June 2019, we have been working closely with Aberdeenshire Council's Waste Department, taking hard plastics from Ellon and Peterhead's Waste Recycling Centres.
To date, approximately 137 metric tonnes of this waste material has been received at the Pitmedden site to be processed then sold onto plastic recycling companies and made into a variety of other products.
We are very proud to be playing a part in the Circular Economy - Keeping Waste Out of Landfill!
Preserving Precious Memories

Preserving Precious Memories

One of the things we at Wood Recyclability just love is when we can help folks out, like when we received a request to transform a bed into a bench.
The lady who’d contacted us about this had sadly lost her father recently and as she was clearing out his house, thought it would be a lovely idea to create a garden bench from his wooden bed and have it inscribed with 3 of his favourite sayings.
So, our amazing team started work and as you can see in this photo, we think they’ve done a sterling job as always, as did she.
We hope that this lady and her family can spend many happy hours enjoying their garden from this bench with their precious memories.
